This project involves upgrading and optimizing your existing security and entertainment systems at your Portsea property. We will add 4G connectivity to your alarm system for always-on monitoring and remote management capabilities, ensuring your property security is never compromised by internet outages.
We’ll install a TV antenna booster system to improve reception quality across all TVs, and set up a Wiim streaming device in the study nook for your outdoor speakers. The Wiim connects directly to your existing speaker cables and works seamlessly with AirPlay and Chromecast – no special apps required, just use your phone or tablet.
As part of the handover process, we’ll perform complete factory resets of your HIKvision camera system and intercom, unbinding them from previous accounts so you have full control. We’ll also connect your 5G modem to the TP-Link network switch for optimized network performance, set up AV and network connections for your entertainment equipment, and test the Fibaro controller to determine its current function.
Upon completion, you’ll have a fully integrated smart home system with reliable security monitoring, improved entertainment options, and professional documentation of how everything works.
Alarm System 4G Upgrade
Always-On Connectivity
We will install a 4G module with SIM card into your existing alarm system, providing Control My Alarm (ifop) connectivity. This ensures your alarm system maintains constant communication even if your internet connection fails, giving you peace of mind that your property is always protected.
Remote Management
- Remote programming and troubleshooting – we can adjust settings without visiting the property
- PIN code management – remotely change codes for the alarm and Bosch external keypad on the front door

TV & Entertainment Setup
TV Antenna Booster
Installation of a professional TV antenna booster with dedicated power supply to improve signal strength and reception quality across all televisions in the property. This eliminates pixelation and drop-outs, ensuring reliable free-to-air TV reception.
Wiim Streaming Audio
The Wiim streaming device will be discreetly installed in the bottom drawer of the study desk, connecting to your existing speaker cables for the outdoor speakers. Unlike proprietary systems like Sonos, the Wiim uses standard AirPlay and Chromecast protocols, so anyone can stream music from their phone without downloading special apps.

Network & System Integration
5G Modem Connection
We’ll relocate your 5G modem from behind the TV and connect it properly to your existing TP-Link data switch using professional network cabling. This provides a stable wired connection for optimal performance and eliminates potential WiFi interference issues.
AV & Network Setup
Connection of PlayStation consoles and AV equipment to the network using professional cabling for the best gaming and entertainment experience with minimal latency and maximum reliability. All connections use quality cables and proper cable management for a clean, professional installation.
Camera & Intercom Factory Resets
Complete factory reset and reconfiguration of your HIKvision camera system and gate intercom, unbinding them from any previous Hik-Connect accounts. This ensures you have full administrative control and no legacy access remains. The camera system provides comprehensive property surveillance, while the intercom at the gate provides secure visitor management.
Fibaro Controller Assessment
We’ll test the existing Fibaro home automation controller to determine if it’s actively controlling lights or other systems, or if it’s been decommissioned. This helps you understand what smart home functionality is currently operational and we’ll advise on its current status.
