Site Survey Notes

The following observations were made during today’s callout. These are not part of this quote, but are provided for your reference — things we could look at in the new year if of interest.

Alarm: Bosch Solution 6000 with MyAlarm iFob app. Worth confirming if connected via 4G or network-only — we recommend 4G for independent communication during internet or power outages.

CCTV: UniFi camera system installed throughout the property.

Network: UniFi Dream Router, UniFi Lite PoE Switch, and UniFi ceiling-mounted access points (one in pantry, likely more). Latitude 37 build with a quality technology installation overall. We noticed 4 SSIDs configured — typically only 1 is needed. Multiple SSIDs can reduce performance and cause roaming issues between access points. Worth simplifying.

Internet: NBN HFC connection with Teltonika RUT240 4G modem for automatic failover if NBN drops out.

Power Protection: Equipment rack in garage with 2x UPS battery backups. We recommend replacing UPS batteries every 2-3 years — when these fail, they can take the entire system offline.

Gate: Sliding gate with magnetic reed switch alerting the alarm when open. Intercom in custom frame with Aiphone keypad and exit button.
