Job Number: JN 3725
Customer: Julian Kosloff, Kosloff Architecture
Location: G02/34 Fitzroy Street, St Kilda (Ground Floor Apartment)
Professional 4-camera CCTV system with Network Video Recorder installed in your comms hub (back bedroom). All cameras feature automatic LED lights for 24-hour colour visibility, and the WiFi cameras include battery backup protection for uninterrupted operation during power outages. All cameras are fully hardwired back to the NVR for maximum reliability.
Professional VIGI C440-W 4MP WiFi camera positioned right of the front door at approximately 2.2m height. Mounted on a weather-resistant junction box with power cabled from the room behind via a dedicated outlet. The battery backup unit is concealed inside the junction box for clean aesthetics. Cable runs use 16mm plastic trunking (black or white to match) along the floor/wall junction creating a neat skirting-board appearance. Professional installation includes full-length trunking on all spans – no visible cable stops halfway along walls – ensuring a clean, continuous finish from start to finish.
VIGI C440-W 4MP WiFi camera installed at the top of the rear stairwell. Power sourced from the nearby bulkhead housing heating/cooling equipment. Includes battery backup for continuous operation. Ideal for close-quarters monitoring of the rear access point.
Two VIGI InSight S485 8MP wired cameras mounted side-by-side on the external wall near your son’s bedroom, each looking in opposite directions. These cameras monitor the easiest break-in point and feature hardwired connections back to the NVR for maximum reliability and image quality. The 8MP resolution provides exceptional detail for identifying potential threats at this vulnerable location.

All cameras connect to a professional Network Video Recorder with built-in hard drive storage in your comms hub (back bedroom). Everything records locally – no cloud subscriptions required. Your footage stays on-site under your complete control with no ongoing monthly fees. The NVR includes a dedicated UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) ensuring continuous recording capability even during power failures. Access your camera feeds remotely via mobile app for real-time monitoring from anywhere.
While installing the security and WiFi systems, we’ll tidy up and professionally label everything in your comms rack (back bedroom). This includes organizing all cabling, labeling connections, and ensuring everything is documented for easy future maintenance and troubleshooting.
Your apartment has excellent data cabling infrastructure already installed throughout, but your current Google mesh system isn’t taking advantage of it. Mesh systems rely on wireless connections between pods, which means each hop degrades signal strength and performance. With your thick stone walls creating additional WiFi challenges, this wireless-relay approach struggles to deliver consistent coverage.
The solution? Business-grade hardwired access points that properly utilize your existing cabling. Instead of pods wirelessly relaying signals through stone walls, each access point connects directly back to your network via the professional cabling already in place.
We’re installing five TP-Link Omada EAP615-Wall WiFi 6 access points strategically positioned throughout your apartment. These aren’t consumer-grade devices – they’re enterprise-level equipment designed for demanding environments.

All five access points connect back to your existing comms hub in the back bedroom using the data cabling infrastructure already installed. This centralized approach provides superior network management and eliminates the trial-and-error pod placement required by mesh systems.
Critical Power Advantage: The access points are powered through PoE (Power over Ethernet) via a dedicated switch in your comms hub. This means power flows through the existing data cables in your walls. When connected to the UPS backup system, your WiFi stays online during power outages – a significant benefit that mesh systems can’t provide. We’ll configure everything for optimal coverage and performance throughout your apartment.
Your existing Aiphone intercom system has two indoor units, with one unit currently experiencing faults. Rather than simply replacing the faulty unit with an identical model, we’re upgrading to modern WiFi-connected technology that transforms how you answer your door.
The Aiphone GT-1C7W is an app-compatible video intercom station featuring a 7-inch touchscreen. This isn’t just a replacement – it’s a significant upgrade that adds smartphone connectivity to your existing intercom system.

We’ll replace your faulty indoor unit with the new GT-1C7W, integrate it with your existing Aiphone system, and connect it to your upgraded WiFi network. You’ll have the choice to use either the wall-mounted touchscreen or your smartphone to answer the door – whichever is most convenient at the moment.
