1. High Wind Loading Mode
This dedicated feature helps the controller distinguish between a physical obstruction (like a person or car) and the constant pressure of wind against the gate leaves.
Action Steps:
- Hold Master Control for 2 seconds to enter the menu.
- Navigate to Menu 7.0 (Special Features).
- Select 7.9 (Wind Loading).
- Increase setting from Off to Medium or High.
2. Adjusting Obstruction Margins
If the gate stops or reverses unexpectedly during gusty winds, you likely need to increase the current margin (sensitivity).
Motor 1 (Arm 1)
- Open Margin: Menu 9.1
- Close Margin: Menu 9.2
- Slow Speed Margin: Menu 9.3
Motor 2 (Arm 2)
- Open Margin: Menu 10.1
- Close Margin: Menu 10.2
- Slow Speed Margin: Menu 10.3
Note: Factory default is 1.0 Amp. Increase in small increments (e.g., to 1.5A or 2.0A) until the gate operates reliably in wind.
3. Speed & End-of-Travel Stalls
Wind often affects gates most during the "Slow Speed" phase. You can shorten this phase so the gate closes with more momentum.
- Reduce Slow Speed Area (11.4 & 11.5): Decreasing these values makes the gate stay at full speed for longer before slowing down.
- Increase Slow Speed (11.3): If the gate is stalling at the very end, increase the slow speed from 50% to 60%.
i-Learning (Re-Learn)
If mechanical changes were made, you must re-run the travel profile.
