Description
Overview
The TP-Link Omada EAP215-Bridge KIT is a pair of preconfigured wireless bridges designed to extend your network across distances up to 5 kilometres. Built for outdoor installations, this kit is ideal for connecting remote buildings, surveillance cameras, or equipment that can’t be reached with traditional cabling.
What sets this bridge kit apart is the Omada SmartBridging technology. The units come preconfigured for instant auto-pairing right out of the box — simply mount them, power them up, and they’ll find each other automatically. No complicated setup, no portal logins required. The Omada App provides guided alignment assistance, showing you signal strength in real-time so you can optimise antenna positioning during installation.
With three Gigabit Ethernet ports on each unit, you can connect IP cameras, access points, or other network devices at the remote end without needing an additional switch. The bridges support flexible power options including 802.3af PoE, 24V passive PoE, and 12V DC — making them compatible with solar power systems for truly remote deployments.
Key Features
The EAP215-Bridge KIT delivers up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band, providing plenty of throughput for multiple IP cameras or data connections. The directional antennas with 14 dBi gain focus the signal precisely where you need it, achieving reliable connections over distances that would otherwise require expensive cable runs or trenching.
Setup is remarkably simple thanks to the plug-and-play preconfigured pairing. For more complex deployments, the kit supports point-to-multipoint configurations with up to four client bridges connecting to a single main unit — just dial the role switch and press the pair button. The built-in LED indicators show signal strength at a glance, while the Omada App guides you through optimal alignment with instant speed testing to verify your installation.
The bridges integrate seamlessly with the Omada SDN ecosystem, allowing centralised management via the Omada Controller, Cloud, or App. This means you can monitor link health, adjust settings, and troubleshoot issues remotely alongside your access points, switches, and gateways.

Applications
This bridge kit is a practical solution for extending network connectivity to locations where running cable isn’t feasible or cost-effective. We’ve deployed these for clients connecting outbuildings and sheds on rural properties, linking IP camera systems across paddocks and orchards, providing network access to construction site offices, and connecting car parks to main buildings.
The weatherproof IP65 enclosure and wide temperature range make the bridges suitable for Australian conditions — from scorching summer heat to cold winter nights. The 6 kV lightning protection provides peace of mind for exposed installations, though we always recommend proper grounding as an additional precaution.
What’s in the Box
The kit includes two EAP215-Bridge units (preconfigured as a matched pair), a passive PoE adapter, pole mounting brackets and hardware, and an installation guide. Wall mounting brackets are available separately if needed.
