The FT210’s battery-powered transmitter eliminates the need for mains wiring to the TX unit, making retrofits and installations significantly easier. Mount the receiver on the powered side of your gate system, and place the transmitter wherever you need it – no trenching required.

The 210° horizontal and 30° vertical adjustment means you can dial in the beam alignment precisely, even on uneven terrain or when dealing with gates that aren’t perfectly level.

Real-World Application

These photocells are ideal for swing and sliding gate installations where running power to both sides would be difficult or unsightly. The 10-metre range covers most residential and light commercial gate openings comfortably.

Battery life is estimated at 2-5 years depending on gate usage – a typical residential installation will sit at the higher end of that range, while a busy commercial site with frequent activations will draw more power.

Installation Notes

The receiver requires 12-24V AC/DC power, which you’ll typically pull from your gate motor’s control board. The transmitter runs on the included 3.6V DC lithium battery – quality gear from Nice, not the cheap cells you’ll find in lesser products.

IP44 rating means they’re weather-resistant but not waterproof. For exposed installations, consider the optional FA1 vandal-resistant covers for added protection against weather and interference.
